All those candles lit on a cake,

Would you like to know my take?

Pardon me, because it matters not.

One thing for sure, all this food will not rot!

A little seedling was placed on this earth

one day, many moons ago, filled with mirth.

Today we are reminded of all the rains

that watered it, leading to all these gains.

All these fruits that this tree bears

may they not get depleted by these hungry bears!

I guess all I really want to say is

you’re God’s creation, you are his.

So on this special blessed day

When all I can offer are the words I say.

Hope they land as gently as a leaf on the ground

Or as smoothly as a cloud sales around
