It cannot be bought,

it cannot be sold,

it cannot be made

and we all have the same amount of it.

It can make us rich or keep us poor…

All depending on how we use it.

We cannnot see it directly,

we can only see it effects

over a period.

It ticks away mercilessly

without regard for anyone

or anything,

it does not feel,

it does not care.

It just is

and always will be…

itself

without hindrance

or restraint,

it gives and it takes away

and its the same everyday

counting down and resetting

day after day,

an eternal hourglass

flipping over to reset

until the end of itself

will end all things

with it.
