I once thought myself a fool,

When I dove into a pool,

Filled with verses and rhymes,

Poetry became my love,

For nothing could be tough,

I embraced it from the start,

Realizing words touched my heart.

In debates, I found no voice,

In speech, I made little noise,

Yet with pen and paper in hand,

I painted emotions grand,

Poetry became my cure,

In its lines, I found allure.

Within its rhythm and beat,

I discovered a retreat,

A sanctuary for my soul,

Where every word made me whole.

So forever I’ll remain,

In the realm of poets’ reign,

For in poetry, I’ve found my voice,

And in its beauty, I rejoice.
