I was napping,
Daydreaming,
When I suddenly heard a strange noise…
It was like a motion,
repeated footsteps.
I then opened my eyes.
There I saw a little youngster laughing genuinely.
I felt the little kid’s presence,
As I opened my eyes, I saw her.
She was delighted,
She was delightful,
She was giggling,
with no sign of burden and struggles.
As I let my eyes wide open,
To confirm if what I was seeing was factual
The little kid then stood up
She stared at me, and then she whispered…
“Find me again.”
“Find me again; I’ll be waiting.”
As she walks away from my sight,
I noticed she looked familiar,
That happy kid was the little me,
the young version of myself.
And I was about to catch the kid,
But she disappeared.
I woke up from my daze.
But, now, I was faced with reality.
I was prepared for reality.
I paused with the happy kid from my dreams.
And now It was the real version of my aged self,
loaded with misery and pains.
Trying to make sense of the message brought by the young me.
And I know I ought to take it seriously,
I’m ready to find her…
I’m ready to give up all the burdens to get her back,
I’m prepared to give up everything that prevents me from smiling.
To get rid of everything hindering me from tasting happiness,
To break all chains that block me from being the old happy kid.
She whispered, “find me again. I’ll be waiting for you.”
I would rather not waste more time,
That I told myself.
I want to catch her as soon as I can,
I want to have her everlasting happiness.
I wish to be the little happy kid that I used to be,
The ever smiling.
The stress-free,
The always giggling,
The old me who always laugh so beautifully….
I’m ready to find you, little me.
