Darkness, my frightful friend,

you did say you will stay till the end.

I always wonder why I let you in,

now my fear unconsciously invites you in.

**

Your cold winds took away Light from my sight,

because I told him to take rest for the night.

Your rays of night softly sneaked in,

I didn’t notice cause I was sleeping.

**

And the vision that was crafted in my brain,

still remain.

I promised to wake him in the morning,

but I missed my alarm and slept in.

**

I plead with you to let me go,

but that heart of yours is made of stone.

Yet I refuse to give in,

for there is always a shed of light within.
