It seemed like my hands had forgotten how to move

It felt like nothing good would ever come from above

I felt a sharp knife piercing through my tender skin

And hands so rough, twisting the knife

Leaving me numb and useless

I could feel the stainless steel creeping into my soul

The glasses in my eyes broken into salty water rolling on my radiant chicks

Death never looked prettier

Somehow my man became our man

And my bed a hallow grave

Dare I say more?

Hers to keep

Mine to lose

And there I stood

Lifeless and defeated

He was never mine to begin with…
