This African proverb does not exist anymore. Nowadays it takes every parent or guardian of the child to raise that child. People in the community/village does not really care about what happens in other children’s lives.

Children or I should rather say teenagers still needs community’s guidance and help but people don’t care anymore. Each and every one concentrates on their lives. People struggle so much and they go through so much but no one is willing to help.Some just see teens led astray but they don’t even reprimand them.

It hurts me I won’t lie. I like helping others where I can, if I can’t I ask for help. Why should people struggle when we can help? It’s kind of inhumane. Let’s help to restore Ubuntu,Botho. There’s a proverb that says “Motho ke Motho ka Batho”(Umntu ngumntu nga bantu) kufanele si bambane ukuze izinto zibe ngcono. let’s work together to see progress in our communities.
