It was sport’s day at school when I first laid my eyes on him,I knew right there and then that he was the one. I started crushing on him but wasn’t sure if he was attending in the same school as I. Like every other person who has a crush,I started doing my investigations so I could find out the basic information about him. When I actually found out that he was indeed attending where I was attending I was extremely excited that I was gonna see him everyday.

He was doing matric and I was in grade 11. I found out from a class mate who happened to be his friend that the guy was also into me,well this happened after we shared a moment where we locked eyes.The moment was electrifying and breathtaking but I had to snap out of it before I made it obvious.

One hot day before after school he approached me and he found me with my brother but he didn’t know because he thought the guy was my classmate, he was familiar with my brother because they represented the school together at the regional athletics competition .

My brother defended me and stopped him from having a conversation with me.

Guess what, he never gave up,he came back the following day and we had a fun filled conversation. He kept on visiting me on visiting me and he started being touchy which made me realize he was into me. I then asked him ukuthi senzani donate,he then said him and I were dating and I had no problem about it because we loved each other a lot.

We were so in love and happy together, spending free periods together. My debate coach eventually found out about it and promised to tell my parents everything if I didn’t stop seeing the guy.

We now had to lay low and keep our relationship a secret.

And one day due to a silly argument we started drifting apart and there no longer was communication between us. During my Physical Sciences end of the year exam I was pressed and had to use the restroom and I saw him with another girl. On the day of his final examination paper ,I saw him all lovey dovey with the girl i had seen him with prior to that day,it was now pretty obvious that he was cheating on me with that girl. Still I never confronted him about it. On that same day he approached me wanting to have some quality time with his so called”love of his life” which happened to be me. I don’t wanna lie I was disgusted and irritated by his approach,ngase ngimtshela ukuthi akabuyele kumntu wakhe ebekade ebusy naye earlier. He denied everything jus like a typical cheating guy would do,I wanted to end things with him but couldn’t bring myself to do it so that gave him an opportunity to ask for another chance.

What should I do as a teenage girl in love with my high school sweetheart since this was our first argument over cheating 😭.?
