One simple day Khanyi was chilling in her bedroom listening to music.
She was very bored and It didn’t show that It is her birthday.
Finally she went downstairs and found her mother and her two brothers, well she was still listening to music so she didn’t see that her mother was talking to her until her one brother took off the earphones. “You freaking bastard,” she said angrily
“Sorry,” her brother said in a sad voice.
Well her mother fixed breakfast and then there was a door knock, Khanyi opened.
It was her father, she hugged him in joy and then he sang for her. “Happy birthday to you,” he said happily.
Her mother told Khanyi’s father to take him and live with her since she’s troublesome, the father agreed.
The next day Khanyi packed her bags and waited for his father.
Where was him?
Nowhere to be found.
Weeks past without the father.
Khanyi got very sad and worried.
The mother heard a call she answered “Getty speaking” she said in a cool voice.
The paramedics told her that Khanyi’s father was shot and he’s dead and the mother fainted.
They woke her up.
“Mommy what’s wrong?” Khanyi said
“Joe your father is dead,” mom said
They all cried.
After a while it was Joe’s birthday
Khanyi’s friends visited with presents
And she said “I lost him.”
