A look into the future
It always baffles me when people choose who qualifies to see God. Take into consideration the story of Mary Magdalene (The prostitute) in the Bible. Also, taking into consideration the story of the thief nailed on the cross. Anyone might have not thought that people like them deserved a seat at God’s table because in the state they were “vile” and “unclean” people. Jesus stood against all those prejudices and proved them wrong. Now I want you to take notes on this. God does not care an inch about what people perceive of you. God does not look at the present feature/situation but He looks at the future. Saul was a murderer and an enemy of God until he became his biggest follower. People may see a murderer, a drug addict or a thief but God sees beyond that.

David was just a frail shepherd when God qualified him to be a King, a whole king! The very same people who were disrespecting him because of his situation were the very same people calling him King.

The very same Nyaope addict you are disrespecting and looking down upon is the same person who might be offering you help in a difficult situation.

The very same prostitute you are calling names might be the same person offering you a job.

The very same ex-convict you are disrespecting because you think you are better than him/her might be the same person preaching the Word of God to you.

We are so blind to see that God loves about us what we hate about ourselves the most; the good in us. We get so adapted to what people think about us the most that we get so intact in it and forget our purpose.

Your current situation doesn’t matter an inch to God!
What your relatives think of you does not matter to God.
What the community thinks of you does not matter to God!
What your family thinks of you does not matter to God!
Stay blessed!
