“Hello?” Adam said looking through the window.

It was an old lady, she smiled at him. Adam smiled back.

“Is your mommy home, little boy? Can I come inside?” The lady said.

Adam wasn’t afraid of her because she was just an old lady.

“My mommy is not home but you can’t come inside, I must wait for my mommy first.” He said.

“Little boy, could you please just help me with some water, I’m so thirsty.” She said.

“Okay, wait right here.” He said and went to fetch some water.

The old lady smiled. Adam gave her water she thanked him and left.

Adam’s mom came home from the shop.

“Adam, was there anyone at the door?” She asked him.

“Yes, mommy, just an old lady,” Adam said.

“What did she want?” His mother asked.

“She wanted water and I gave her then she left,” Adam said.

“Adam! I told you not to talk to any strangers even if it’s an old lady.” His mother said, upset.

“Yes, mommy, I’m sorry.” Adam said and went to sleep.
