Taylor turned to Carly looking more confused than ever.
“What is going on?”
Carly sighed and took a seat on a bench. “Crystal kidnapped me so I couldn’t make our date the other night.”
Taylor sat down next to her. “She told me you moved away.”
“She just went crazy, I don’t understand.”
Taylor put a hand on her knee. “I’m glad you’re okay. Trust me, where I come from, crazed fans are a lot more common than you’d think. One time, a woman camped in my garden for three days with chloroform and a T-Bone steak just so she could steal my dog. “
He shuddered at the memory.
Carly’s eyes widened. “And you tell me this now?”
“How was I supposed to know it would happen here as well?”
“This is too weird. First the camera crews, then my best friend held me captive and tried to kill me. I don’t think I can handle it.”
“What do you mean?”
Carly sighed. “I’m not one of those girls that overlooks her friends for the sake of a guy, even if they did try to kill me. I’m sorry, Taylor.”
She tried not to look in his puppy-dog brown eyes.
“Whatever this is. It’s over.”
QUESTION: Do you think Carly made the right decision?
