At 21:30 I took a break from studying and logged on to Facebook just to check what’s happening, who’s doing what, where and with whom… I don’t like Twitter much. It’s not my scene.
So, I never waste time on it although our Journalism lecturer, Ms McKay, says it’s important that journalism students should have Twitter accounts. I get that – but I still don’t like it much. It’s not my cup of tea!
As I was still saying, I took a break at 21:30. It was meant to be a short break, just to catch a breath of fresh air and to refresh my mind. 30 minutes was enough…but guess what?
I ended up spending more than 2 hours just browsing over the Internet and reading interesting stories. I saw this one done by e-buzz about the DA person chatting with the citizens on Twitter, but they only asked him stupid question that had nothing to do with anything. I never laughed so hard. Another reason I think Twitter is dumb.
It’s almost midnight now and I have a few chapters I want to cover before I sleep which means I’ll have to work until 3 o’clock at least.
This is quite a lonely night, hey! It’s just me and Sadie, Noxy’s lovely cat. Noxy’s out on a date and judging by the time she won’t be coming back. I’ve long given up telling her that she should send an SMS if she’s spending the night at her boyfriend’s place. So, tonight it’s just me and Sadie!
The highlight of the night is the 30 minute or so I spent Skyping with Sebastian (the longest we’ve spoken in a while). It felt so good, really! How do I know this? Well, he said so himself.
No fights, no arguments – just me and him talking and laughing like two love-struck teenagers. It felt really nice just talking to him and knowing that he was listening.
We’ve decided to try and make things work. I know it’s not going to be easy. In fact, to think that everything will just shift back to normal would be to consciously choose to be naïve. We both know that, but we’ll give it our best shot this time.
