Magic! Some have it in their feet, some have it in their hands and some have it in their voices. Some really don’t believe that magic does exist, but Sihle did and he believed he had it. He believed that it would make him famous and he believed that with every fibre in his body. This was his time to shine, that’s what he believed. The biggest show in the country was taking place and this was his chance.
South Africa has had a show that caters for dancers (So you think you can dance), comedians (So you think you are funny), musicians (Idols) and actors (Class Act). But South Africa has never had a show that caters for poets. But now for the first time in South Africa a show that catered for poets was going to be on everyone’s TV screens. Poetic Voices.
Sihle was sure that he could win, in fact, he didn’t think, he knew.
The last season of S.A’s got talent was won by a poet, a kid. And that was proof enough for Sihle that fame was calling his name. He was thrilled; this was a chance he has always been waiting for. The auditions were to be held in Durban, his home town. He was more than ready.

Bad! Some know the true meaning of the word and some just only know how to pronounce it. People thought Melokuhle was one of the people who did not really know the meaning of the word. Her father owned Melokuhle Records, which was a very successful record label. And he had named it after her. Her father was very rich and he was a spender.
Melokuhle got everything she wanted, whenever she wanted it. So she never experienced anything bad. There was something she wanted badly and she knew exactly how to get it. Money can’t buy everything, Melokuhle thought to herself as she basked on the sofa. She had a good plan and she was confident that it will work, she could almost feel it.
She was certain of her plan because Daddy never could deny her anything. In the eyes of those who didn’t have what she had, she was a spoilt brat. Melokuhle always got what she wanted. And this time was going to be no different.

Tell us what you think: Can Sihle be that good or is he over confident? What is it that Melokuhle wants so bad?
