The weekend came too soon. She went to school during the day and later Rudo picked her up and they went to a party downtown. She sat there drinking juice because she never drank acohol before. A guy was staring at where she sat. When she noticed him he winked at her, she smiled. She wasn’t happy but she had to smile to forget Munashe.

“Hi, I am Tim and you are?” the guy introduced himself.

She immediately knew what type of man he was; one that couldn’t replace Munashe. Munashe is a unicorn, there was nobody like him. He was different and honest about his feelings. This type of man, like Tim, was one of those who got what they wanted and ditched a girl.

“I am Caroline,” she said uninterested.

She drank her juice while her workmates danced with some guys she didn’t know.

“Don’t you want some beer or wine?” he asked.

“I don’t drink hey, juice is fine,” she answered staring at the crowd.

Everyone was dressed in small clothes while she wore jeans and a tee with a hooded jacket. The crowd seemed to be enjoying themselves more than she was. The club wasn’t her thing. Chipo came with a glass of wine. She was dragging her body, she could be drunk, Caroline thought.

“This is a very fantasing wine, try it…, Oh I see you’ve have met your match,” she said smiling and walked away.

“Don’t you wanna taste wine,” he asked, handing her a glass of red wine.

“I said I don’t drink,” she shouted pushing the glass onto the floor. She stood up and left.

This was not her. She missed Munashe and no one could replace him. She needed to fix things with him. She left and went home. That night she cried on her bed. She took her phone and dialed his number, it went to voicemail. She kept crying until she fell asleep.

She woke up later because her phone rang. It was Munashe.

“Baby, I’m sorry for what I did but it’s you who jumped to conclusions,” he said.

She felt happy because she had missed his voice, his hands and face.

“I’m sorry baby, I messsed up too. I miss you,” she answered.

“I love you and will always love you. I can’t live without you baby,” he said in a very low voice.

She listened quietly, Munashe was her life. The joy of hearing that he couldn’t live without her made her heart beat faster .

“Can we meet?” he continued.

“Yes let’s meet. I am at home today,” she answered smiling.

It took an hour for him to come and Caroline ditched school so she could spend the day with Munashe. They lay on bed and laughed at how they handled their arguments.

“Baby, I wasn’t dating any girls, you are the only one who can fill my heart,” he said stroking her head on his chest.

“I am stubborn, sorry. I know I’m just jealous,” she said laughing.

“A very big jealous chick, I know you love me,” he said and they both looked at each other.

Lips molded as they kissed. He went on top of her. He kissed her for long and then his phone beeped.

“Check it,” she said as he took his phone out.

“It’s our day together, no disturbances, I want you only,” he said and pointed at her nose.

They both laughed. Munashe believed that sex was only for the married so they decided that when they finished school, they would find good jobs and get married. Munashe helped Caroline with the cleaning then they did laundry tohgether. Sandy came from church and saw the house clean.

“I thought you went to school,” she said.

“Don’t worry, I will catch up,” she answered while Munashe stared at her.

They were happy and promised not leave each other again. Caroline remembered the show ‘Relationship’ and they watched it always when it was aired. That show helped them fix their relationship. They now knew how to trust one another. They wanted to fix their relationship so that one day they can get married. Munashe would pick Caroline after work and on weekends he always took her to school. They knew they would live happily ever after, as long they stayed committed, they could resolve any lover’s tiff.
