I turn to look at Thami who is laying by my side with his eyes closed. I sit and look at myself and realise that it wasn’t a dream. A smile stretches on my lips knowing that I gave my virginity to the guy I love.

I put on my clothes and just when I’m about to put on my shoes Thami looks at me and smiles.

“You were amazing,” he says giving me a smile.

When I’m all dressed I look at Thami who is still lying on the floor not bothering to get dressed.

“I have to get home now I don’t want my mother to worry.”

“Of course.” He searches for his pants and takes out his phone. He taps a few times on his phone then turns to me.

“I requested an Uber for you. It should be here in a few minutes.”

“Oh okay.” I take my bag and walk myself outside. The gate opens and I bite the insides of my cheeks not wanting to burst into tears.

The Uber arrives in under two minutes. When the car is about close to my home I tell the driver to leave me a few houses from my house.

As I’m walking home I feel like everyone can tell that I had just had sex. I know that it can’t be but I still feel like everyone is watching me.

When I arrive home I find that my mom is not back yet. I go and charge my phone and start preparing the supper. When I finished the cooking I took off my uniform and put on a tracksuit and laid on the bed and before I know it I had fallen asleep.

When I woke up it was already dark outside and I could hear the television playing. I walked into the lounge and found my mother watching scandal.

“Sawubona (Hello) mama.”

My mother turns and looks at me with a smile on her face, “You’re finally awake.”

I sit next to her and eat my food. I’m filled with such sadness that as soon I was finish with supper I went to the room and fell asleep crying.

I woke up around 4 am because my phone was buzzing.

When I opened WhatsApp I found messages from Buhle. I looked at the last message and saw that it’s a video and under it there’s a message.

Buhle: This is bad!!!
