They shortly appeared in a dark room, the same room from Richie’s dream. The walls, the furniture, even the roof was a dense shade of black and was emitting a subtle frequency, everything seemed like it was separating then mixing again. Corners and windowpanes had a subtle white light emitting from them. The whole setting was like a bad noir graphic novel. The portal still lay on the floor, inactive.

“Is this HQ but dark?” Nerdy asked.

“Oh yeah?”” Noobie concurred, fascinated.

Vic snapped his fingers pointed at the fanny pack and made a number three gesture with his hand. Richie opened the fanny pack, took out the number three envelope and took out the note then read it out.

“Dear Boyz, Welcome to Bizzaro Dimension. Rodney called it that because it is a mirror dimension formally known as Earth X. I believe he called it that in his journal because he hoped for life in here and if it existed it would be our opposites classified in slang as Bizzaro people. But they are potentially dangerous so we have to avoid them as much as possible.”

“Our voices sound funny in these masks,” Noobie said then pretended to be holding a sword, “Norman, I am your father,” he said imitating the old sci-fi legend Darth Vader

“Stop messing around,” Richie said pushing Noobie aside and walking towards the door, “Rodney was here with Bizzaro versions of us, they held him captive right here, he was pale and seemed out of breath.”

“That’s because the air here is thin,” Vic said holding a meter of some kind. “If he is still alive, he doesn’t have much time, we have to find him.”

“Okay, follow me.” Richie went to the door and stood against it.

Vic took out a flashlight from his backpack and turned it on. The other boys turned to him and looked at him angrily.

“Hey, Vic,” Noobie said.

“Was it too much of a hassle to give us a backpack tutorial?” he said sarcastically.

Vic shrugged innocently. They all took out their flashlights and took a peak at the inside of their bags. Vic packed a bottle of water, some snacks, rope, meters of some kind, walkie-talkies, switchblades and Nerdy had a medical kit. They turned on their flashlights and looked at each other and acknowledged their shared fear.

“Okay, ready,” Richie asked, they all nodded, “Okay, one, two, three.”

Richie opened the door and crouched as he went up the stairs, he paused to check if everyone was there, then after he was satisfied he slowly opened the door to the hallway. He crept quietly to the kitchen doorway and took a peak. Bizzaro Mrs Pulanski was standing in the kitchen.

She was standing in front of a bizzaro mirror where from the other side stood a reflection of hers, only it was in black and white and the reflection seemed lively compared to the slouching and grunting Bizzaro Mrs Pulanski.

Bizzaro Mrs Pulanski opened her mouth and started absorbing light from the mirror. Her face started shaking and turning eerily as the light pierced through her skin. He noticed that the door to outside was open, it seemed funny to him since Mrs Pulanski in the real world insisted it be kept closed, so much so that she scolded them hard if they forgot to close it.

Richie turned to the other boys and gestured that they be quiet, he turned off his flashlight and the others did too. He put it in his bag. He crept on all fours as quietly as he could. After a couple of seconds of very slowly getting out of the Bizzaro house, he checked the coast was clear, turned back to the other boys and waved towards him gesturing that they could come now.

Vic took a peak at Bizzaro Mrs Pulanski and crept out slowly too. Richie was now looking at the Bizzaro street for any other people or trouble.

As Nerdy now crept towards them, Richie took time to investigate the area. It was still dull. There was no other colour other than Black or White. The sky was as pitch black as the ground was, but the linings and corners of everything was white. This made it easier to navigate.

The white linings accentuated the driveway from the grass, the sidewalk from the road, the fence from the gate, but everything was black they were the only thing in colour in this dimension. The only other thing that was white was the sun. It gleamed a beautiful shade of white.

Nerdy was home free and it was Noobie’s turn now. He crept and started moving slowly towards them. As he was about to get out the door he noticed the room was awfully quiet now, no more grunting and screeching from Bizzaro Mrs Pulanski. He turned in a slow steady motion of pure terror. She wasn’t by the mirror anymore. Noobie heard a couple of hard breaths coming from the door he turned while snivelling in fear and found her on the wall above the door.

She was facing forward with her hands and feet sticking to the wall and her knees and face protruding outward and looking at Noobie. She opened her mouth and exposed her white luminescent mouth. She shot out a long sonic wave at Noobie that left him dazed and hypnotised.
