Danny felt so furious after being ambushed with accusations. Lerato felt her body tense up every time Danny would walk past her and yell.

“They are trying to destroy me! They thought I was going to take all this laying down? They were wrong!” Danny kept repeating this over and over again. It was like he was a broken record.

“You are shouting. Please, don’t wake up the baby,” Lerato said, calmly. “Love, just let this go, please.”

“You know what, they deserve all that happened to them, and more.” Danny furiously repeated what he told the Zondos.

“This kind of talk is what made the Zondos to suspect you in the first place,” said Lerato, starting to sound annoyed.

Danny stared at her with shock. “Whose side are you on, Lerato?”

“What, this again? I told you, I’m on your side, but I won’t support you doing bad things,” said Lerato. Much to Danny’s surprise, she kept her ground.

“So, you are accusing me, too? You of all people?” asked Dann, in shock.

“You went out last night; who knows where you went to. Then, in the morning the Zondo’s farm burns to ashes. It can’t be a coincidence” accused Lareto.

“Yeah, you’re right,” said Denise, opening their door. “Even your wife knows you are a psychopath.”

They turned, surprised at seeing Denise at their doorstep.

Danny got upset. “What the hell are you doing here, Denise?” he asked.

Denise stepped in the house and stood in front of Danny’s face. “I came here to tell you that you will pay for what you did,” vengefully said Denise.

“You took Dad’s final breath by burning his farm. Now, the Zondos will take all that’s theirs; starting with my son” threatened Denise.

“You are not eligible to be his father. You denied him after sleeping with my wife. And now, you feel entitled to him? No court will grant you custody” said Danny.

“If you try to fight this, I’ll expose what your mother did to us to the world, and I will pin you to the farm fire. See if any fit lawyer will grant you custody over me” threatened Denise.

Danny clinched his fist and headed towards Denise.

“Oh, you want to hit me? Hit me and see if I’ll take it laying down!” Denise folded up his long sleeve shirt. “I’ll fight back.”

Lerato got in between them. “If you are going to fight, go outside! I can’t expose my son to violence!” She picked up Hope. “While the two of you are arguing about who is the rightful father, know that I am his rightful mother.”

“You heard what she said, Denise. Leave!” Danny pointed to the door.

Denise left the house, but not before yelling at Danny. “You’ll hear from my lawyer soon!”

Danny stared at Lerato. “You didn’t even take my side.”

“I don’t have the energy for this. I’m tired and I want to take my baby and go to sleep,” Lerato said, trying to leave the room.

Danny tightly held her hand with a tight grip. “You still crave him, don’t you?” Danny seethed.

“Denise,” Lerato replied. “Why are not letting this matter go?” She tried to get her arm free from Danny’s grip. “Denise and I were a mistake. Please, let me go. You are hurting me.” Her eyes were filling with tears.

He looked at her, then let go of her hand. “You know what? I am going to leave before I do something I will regret.”

Lerato felt her heart race like never before. This is so unlike Danny. She had never seen this aggressive side of him before: he had never acted like such a monster.

What do you think will happen to Hope?
