Allow this vulnerable soul to speak to you
About the true worth of a woman’s wealth.
It is far more than pearls, diamonds and gold.
Even though this world has fooled
My sisters into believing that they are pretty.
Many worth close to nothing
Yet something has got to give – for my sisters.

You were preordained, before the million stars in the galaxy were named
You were chosen by the heavens, prescribed by God for the nations,
To bring a spark of hope – an intervention
Into the lives of females who look up to you, filled with despair.
To wipe away the tears that floods their eyes.
Females who have fallen victims of molestation,
Manipulated by the systems of this world.
If only you could truly comprehend your true value,
It is far more than pearls, diamonds and gold
Even though this world has fooled
My sisters into believing that they are pretty.
Many worth close to nothing
Yet something has got to give.

Allow this fragile heart to sing the lyrics of this national anthem,
That has created a misconception in the minds of society.
Hypnotizing my sisters into believing that their true exquisiteness
Is measured by their lashes.
While He endured the master’s lashes on the cross with you in mind.
My sister your true beauty lies from within,
In the deepest part of your heart.
It is skin deep, even thicker than that layer of Revlon foundation.
For you were birthed before the foundations of the earth.
To be likened to a bed of roses, bringing a sweet smell of incense –
An aroma that pleases God.

See my sister your smile is much more striking
Than the collaboration of the sun and the sea.
You are beautiful, gorgeous and glorious all in one package,
You are dynamic beings.
Speaking a dialect of heavenly beings – a true proverb.

Allow this soul of a poet to recite this poem dedicated to my sisters,
My sister you are of a peculiar nation.
Assigned and destined to be an inspiration
With this poem my sisters allow me to remind you
Of the true worth of your wealth.
It is far more than diamonds, pearls and gold
Though this world has fooled you my sisters into believing that you are pretty.
Many worth close to nothing;
Yet He gave up everything for you.
