With citizens anchored on strings
Unknown whether they locomote independently
Or on strings
Dubious as to whether they are skeletal or hydraulic

Starting from their head I see a string
Enabling the pivotal movement of their heads
On the neck hinge
Nodding to every pulling force from above
Another string stuck to their hip joints
Commanding them to dangle to western tunes
Another string projects to their arms
Hands widening as if to embrace even the air

Clearly seen are other strings on their legs
Jerking them back and forth no matter the direction
For to defy the strings, they are static
But, does it make any difference, being static?
