Set me free because now I feel like my arms are chained
only wish that I could be freed
so there could be other poems written
I could read and understand what they’re all about.
Set me free
away from these chains
so I can also travel
and know how other people live their lives in other places.

So please set me free
by giving that pen and paper
so I can write for you how I really feel.

I beg you because I have so much to tell
and to discuss with you.
When I ask you to set me free
it’s not like I ask too much
not even for fame
but I ask you to set me free
so I can tell you and others what I really am
and to be what I really am
