I am an African,
I have my own yearning,
My vision and pride define
My pure identity as an African child.

I am proud to be an African
With wisdom and absolute rights,
The rights which makes me equal
with the whites.

My heritage is my pride,
My tribe is who I am,
Who I am to you doesn’t matter,
What matters is what I do.

I am an African child,
Am matured and my yearning
Is to praise an African tribe,
I am proud to be African grandchild,
For I have rights and opportunity
To define my identity.
