We are Africans
Let us love one another
Let us respect one another
A sister from another country is your sister
A brother from another country is your brother
You don’t have to share the same blood to love one another
Why are we treating foreigners that are staying in our country so bad?
Why are we burning them alive?
Why are we killing them?
What did they do to us to deserve such treatment?
Do you remember we were once refugees in their country?
Yes during apartheid and they gave us shelter
So is this how you thank them,
By killing them while they need your help?
What happened to Ubuntu?
The only reason we call them foreigners
is that we are separated by imaginary map lines
That are drawn by a human being like you and me
Apart from all that, we are Africans
And we must love one another
