You may have been
too dumb to say it
but I heard you
loud and clear

You might have seemed
too sweet to show it
but I read you
with eyes and ears
tall and strong

You could have told me
yet decided not to
rather chose to
fool me with
hugs and cheers
all day long

I no longer need your
love or acceptance
or to be blinded
by your glistening smile

You don’t have to
pretend any further
or hide your feign’d nature
like the foggy weather

Guess it’s time
I sang and said:
“I don’t need you either
we are better off apart
far away from each other’s
mind and heart”
