Loving so much is a fatal mistake
That brings forth pain, which no-one should take.
Protect your heart for it’s precious,
It represents all that is righteous.

Be careful who you give it to,
Some people see it as a tool,
They don’t see its worth, so be aware of that fool –
TAKE IT FROM A GUY WHO ONCE HAD A HEART!
I gave it to you without hesitation at the start
and love convinced me that we will never be apart.
Love, loyalty and respect
Was mostly what I offered,
All you should have done was to be fair.

I was left without a heart
and you had two of the equivalent pair,
my chest left wide open, blood dripping, you didn’t even offer to repair.
I looked for kindness but you had none to spare,
From the distance you gave me a stare.

Leave your heart out of stupidity
for you will give it to people without humility,
Those who can throw your heart into a broken glass without a glimpse of pity,
Though it sounds cruel, it is reality –
TAKE IT FROM A GUY WHO ONCE HAD A HEART!

Live consciously,
Love fully,
but learn carefully.
Realise that loving someone doesn’t mean they love you,
Don’t give more than what you get
for it is astonishing how fast people forget.
This is part of my life
which I, so lonely, regret:
Be wise, take good care of your precious heart.
