We had a marvellous day there
when we went to the beach
Me and my siblings together,
for a Saturday afternoon braai

We made sure we brought
multi-coloured umbrellas and sun-block
to protect our backs from the heat
Oh, and some tasty treats
for the cheek bones

We had some good fun there
at Millerton’s sandy beach
As we moved from
place to place
Until the sun went to rest
