(At Tumelo’s house, in the lounge.)
Tumelo: The food was nice.
Tumi: Thanks that’s what I’m best at and cleaning, my aunt taught me well.
Thembi: Thabo and Thabisa go to your rooms.
Tumi: Let’s go and prepare your beds. (They go upstairs.)
Tumelo: She’s just an amazing person.
Thembi: She’s so friendly and the kids love her.
Tumelo: She seemed bit angry when talking about her aunt. (They are disturbed by Tumi.)
Thembi: Tumi where do you come from?
Tumi: (Sighs) Well I am a street kid.
(They are both shocked)
(Silence…)
Tumelo: Sad, what happened? How did you end up there?
Tumi: (She tells them the whole story.)
Thembi: Oh sorry to hear that, your aunt is heartless.
Tumelo: My wife runs an organisation where she helps youth to get jobs and discover their talents, maybe you can bring your friends there.
Thembi: Yes I am also a social worker, first we’ll start with you, you have to register for cooking classes one day you will be a well-known chef.
(They hug and go to sleep)
Tell us: Why do you think Thembi is so generous towards Tumi?
