Kelvin and Sharon grew up together. They have been best friends since childhood. Luckily, enough they were neighbours so it was easy for them to see each other every day. Kelvin was from a rich family but he didn’t really care much about his family’s wealth, since he was young and understood nothing.

As for Sharon, she was from an average family, neither rich nor poor. She was a kind-hearted soul who also believed in love and forgiveness. Kelvin and Sharon were always there for each other. They both attended the same primary school, people thought that they were siblings. Things changed when Kelvin went to high school, as Sharon was two years younger than him so she was still at primary school. Kelvin engaged himself with people who were on the same level as him in terms of wealth, he got exposed to the real world and got the mentality of “when you are from a rich family, you are the coolest of them all.”

The worst part is that he even started to look down on other people including his childhood best friend Sharon. He never spoke to her again, they became strangers. Sharon started to wonder what she did wrong. She decided to not bother herself and move on even though she was hurt. Sadly, she had to find new friends and adapt to the new friendship.

She befriended two of her classmates, Caroline and Precious. Everything went well and it was as if they had been friends for years. The year for Sharon to go to tertiary arrived, she went to University of North West to go study Law and by then Kelvin was doing his second year at the University of Johannesburg studying Biological Science. Things were not going quite well for Kelvin at Varsity because his bragging attitude started to bore other people. Even some of his friends had left him.

The universities closed and they both went back home for holidays.
One morning Kelvin and Sharon met on the street as they were both heading to the shop.
“Hi Sharon, it’s been quite a long time hey?”
“Sure Kelvin, it has been.”
“Why does it seem like you don’t want to talk to me?”
“Kevin, what happened to those two little buddies who used to play together and who were always there for each other?”
“You know Sharon, I’m also disappointed in myself, I shouldn’t have done that to you, after all you have always been there for me, Can you please find it in your heart to forgive me?”
Sharon forgave him because she believed in forgiveness. Sharon and Kelvin buried each and every bad memory that happened. They then became friends again, as time went by they both started to develop feelings for each other. Kelvin decided to put the fear aside and tell Sharon how he feels about her.

They met and decided to go for a walk. Kelvin was scared to talk but something inside him kept pushing him to talk. He ended up telling Sharon that he loves her and lucky enough the feeling was mutual. They began to date and everything was just going smoothly. They both completed their studies, graduated and got into the world of work.
After a year, Kelvin proposed, they got married and now they are being blessed with twins, Princess and Pathin.

Being big-headed just because of money can push your loved ones away from you. Kelvin got lucky to have gotten a second chance from Sharon. That’s a true definition of love.
