When I heard my daughter’s first breath my heart was joyful. I just couldn’t stop looking at her. I knew she would make me happy for the rest of my life. I smiled for a few minutes, I even felt my tears. I guess I couldn’t help the fact that she is mine. I even remember when I was first discharged from the hospital. When I got home everybody wanted to hold her.
The way she makes me happy is flawless. I don’t want her to get out of my site, even my mother knows that. I remember looking at her for a moment; a moment where she didn’t want to open her eyes. My heart was filled with love and joy.
Her face was so cute, so soft that you could just touch it several times. Her nose was just like mine.
She grew up so fast, like she never was young. She lights wherever there is darkness. These last years have been the best years of my life, now she even knows how to say ‘Mommy’, but she usually calls me by my name, “Polisa.”
I love her so much, even though she’s a trouble-maker. I even know when she’s up to no good. She keeps quiet like she is not even around. My daughter is my life and she makes me happy.
