Not having a father in your life is terrible. You have no one to look up to and no one to tell your deepest secrets to when your mom’s busy or she’s not home or whatever the case may be. There is no one to call your “first husband”.

“Mommy, why did dad decide to leave?” is the question kids ask their parents when they see their friends with their dads.

“I’ll tell you when you’re old enough to understand, my love.” That’s the response from the mothers.

Not everyone wants that as a reply from their parent but they need to understand. There’s no other way but to say that he left because he didn’t accept you as his child. If parents told their kids that, it would break their hearts. That’s how I feel when I see my friends with their dads and I wish that it was me with my dad.
