What have you done for this day
when your body is laid
on a bed of dirt, mud and clay
in a hole that is cold, dark and gray
six feet deep only to be locked away?

As family gather crying and pray,
they say goodbyes and cry
until they can no longer stay.
You hear footsteps slowly fade.
You realise that you’re alone in that grave.

What have you done for this day,
the day of judgement, the day of regret
the day of resurrection, the day of recompense.

The day our books explode
and our deeds are displayed,
the punishment of God is severe.
Remember, judgement is there.
