Athenkosi is a grade 12 learner, awaiting matric results. Athenkosi has applied to study maritime studies at the Durban University of Technology in 2013.

What is your favourite book?
My favourite book at the moment is “Nobody will ever kill me” by Mbuyisela Maloni. I found it really inspiring.

What is your favourite music?
My favourite music is rock music and my best band is Linkin Park.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy writing poems, reading novels and drawing.

What’s your message for the youth of SA today?
I’d like to say to the youth: You can be anything that you want to be if you work hard, persevere and have the courage to cut the bondages of any misconceptions that may restrict you from succeeding in life. Believe in yourself and let God pave your future.
