See my mom is Sotho; then she got married to a white man, Patric Monroe, although she died soon after giving birth to me so I have never seen her except on pictures, videos and all that.
At an early age of five I was sent to live with my rich grandmother on my mother’s side because my father couldn’t afford to raise me and well a little secret, my grandmama is a wealthy old women she is loaded and hates my dad.
That women is racist. As a kid she used to tell me stories of how my father’s ancestors turned black people into slaves and well crazy me would just laugh pissing her off. For some reason she wanted to turn me against my father; my own daddy – my own blood;; can you believe it? And well when I turned 20 she made me choose between my dad and her and with no doubt I chose my dad.
She used the words, ” Anele my child, the world is a cruel place, exactly like white people; now that you are old enough to understand you will have to choose either me your grandmama or the white man who ill treated us in the past, beware my child of what you choose.”
Well I just rolled my eyes at what she said and chose my dad and well I got thrown out of the huge mansion; like literally she called security to throw me out and well my dad is who I turned to and surprisingly he welcomed me with warm arms.
