My name is Muzi and I live with my five mothers.

I don’t know who is who. They call each other “Sisi” and I’m their son. It’s so weird living under the same roof with woman only especially if you’re a boy but I am not complaining.

People always wondered why so many moms and asked if ever I don’t get confused.

The truth is I don’t. Because I don’t know who is my biological mother hence I don’t get confused.

So apparently I was born with both of them living under one roof and their living arrangement is now permanent.

I guess the next generation will be born having five mothers like myself.

I can say I’m lucky. It is not usual that sisters can love someone else’s child like their own. They do everything for me and they never get jealous of each other.

One thing I know for sure is that they communicate between themselves on what I need and I think that’s why they get along so perfectly.

They share responsibilities, even though sometimes they fight over who’s doing what and when.

Imagine having a timetable plugged on the fridge, so it will reminds everyone on who is supposed to take me to school and who will be doing my breakfast or lunch.

My peers don’t get it. They think I’m over spoilt but I didn’t choose to live this life.

I just woke up one day from a very long sleep after I was born and the whole crew was there cheering for me.

They have told me that they even shared responsibilities with feeding me when I was still a little bundle.

I used to laugh at them as they explain. Sometimes I asked myself why would someone just wake up in the middle of a cold winter night just to change a nappy of a child isn’t hers?

Well, my mothers enjoy taking care of me. I cannot wait for a day I will have a little sister or brother.
