ASANDA

I feel something pushing me almost falling down, when I look it’s Fanele. He has woken up and he’s shaking and also sweating profusely, I don’t understand what’s happening. Maybe he’s having a bad dream “Are you sure that you’re fine?” I ask.

Instead of answering my question, he stands up and leaves the room. I’m really surprised, I also wake up and follow him until we reach the kitchen. He takes a glass and pours himself some water and drinks it “I had a terrible nightmare” he finally says.

I look at him surprised “What nightmare?”

“We were in the cave at the tropical as you know that the island has a cave so we were in that cave and out of nowhere I felt something pulling my legs and I fell down. When I rose my eyes, I saw a zombie holding a big knife. I turned to look at you, you were screaming and the zombie stabbed you repeatedly”

By the time he finished telling me his nightmare, my mouth already dropped in total shock “It’s terrible indeed, don’t you think it means something about our vacation?” I ask.

“Our vacation? No I don’t think so, it’s just a dream” he says. “No it’s not just a dream. It’s a warning for us to cancel this vacation” I say.

“No ways! That’s not happening, we are not cancelling this vacation just because of a stupid dream!” he shouts.

“Yes we are! If we go there that means we are giving ourselves up for death!” I also shout.

“Since when do you interpret dreams?! You’re probably reading too much to it”

“Babe no I’m not, I don’t feel too good about this” I say. He comes close to me and hugs me “I’m sorry for shouting at you, I know that you’re worried but you shouldn’t be. Nothing beats prayer, we are going to pray before we go there. Is that okay with you?” He asks.

“I’m okay with it I guess” I say with doubt.

“For now let’s go to sleep, we have a long trip tomorrow” He says as we go back to our bedroom. Maybe it’s just a dream after all but still I don’t feel okay.
