At least for a couple of hours Sindie had managed to take my mind off Senzo but now I was back at home and I am alone, my mind runs back to that other night I almost kissed him and he literally ran out of my apartment.

For the past few weeks I had been wondering where did I go wrong? A knock comes through the door as I put on my sleepers I walk to the door expecting to see Sindie there with a bottle of wine but I am met by the tall dark guy.

My knees buckle as I look at him, his eyes pierce through mine, his hands deep in his pockets, my heart is hammering on my chest he is here I almost can’t believe it. I step aside and let Senzo in, he walks in with that presence of absolute power.

“Hi.” He says so simply like he hasn’t been AWOL for the past two weeks.

I cross my arms on my chest and look at him. He scratch his head like he has something to say but does not know how to say it.

He finally spoke as we were on a staring contest as I was determined not to speak after all, he is the one who totally ignored me.

“I like you Rose.” He says like he is not sure, like saying such words is impossible. “I don’t know where to start, I am not exactly the type of guy who likes girls all I know is to fuck every girl I come across,”

The thought of him with another woman makes me sick.

He continues as he switches from one foot to the next “But there’s something about you.” He says as he looks at me as if he is wondering why he feels like this and I will be providing him with answers.

I step closer towards him, but he takes a step back almost like he us not sure if he wants me close to him “Before you agree to anything else, I have to show you something he says.”

I follow him to the car, I have no idea where we are going and I have a feeling he won’t say so I don’t bother asking.

He stops at a warehouse, there are so many guards with guns all around making me a bit nervous.

We walk inside the warehouse and there are a dozen of guns “This is my life, he says looking at me and back to the weapons. I don’t want to hide myself from you so just know if you agree to be part of my life you agree to all of this.”

My mouth hangs open who is this guy? Is the first question on my mind and do I really want to be involved in whatever this is?

“Are you a criminal?”

He nods, “I kill people and I have no guilt about that, we steal anything that brings us money .”

“We?”

“Yes we,” a voice says behind me, I turn around and see two guys standing at the door looking at Senzo “You must be the girl that makes my friend no longer spend time with us.”

I smile shyly. The second guy gives me a big smile and nods “She’snot bad.” He says looking at Senzo and back at me “Thobane,” He looks at the other guy and nods “That’s Katlego.”

“He must really like you if he brought you here.” Katlego says in a disapproving tone.

I turn to Senzo who has grown quiet but has not once stopped looking at me, I walk up to him knowing that I am probably foolish for doing this, but I am completely a different person when I am with him. We are now standing so close to each other that I cam smell the mint cologne, he looks down at me like he is reading my face “I like you too.” I manage to say after a while.

His eyes soften, like he was worried I might run away from him, call him crazy or whatsoever but I don’t. I know what I want, and what I want is him.
