Rose

Caroline and I spent a few incredible days together, and I can’t believe how free and alive I feel. It’s been a refreshing change to be away from cigarettes and wine. Having Caroline by my side has made everything even more special. We’ve been doing all sorts of crazy things, making memories that I know I’ll cherish forever.

As much as I’ll miss this peaceful place, it’s time to return home and face whatever awaits me there. Caroline holds my hand tightly as we approach the house I used to call home. To my surprise, there’s a “For Sale” sign in front of it.

Confused and curious, I step out of the car, and there I see Senzo walking towards me. He takes a deep breath and admits, “You were right. I messed up by not communicating with you. I was doing everything without considering your thoughts and feelings because I thought that’s what you wanted. Can we try again? This time, we’ll do everything together.”

I’m taken aback as I kisten to him. “Are you serious?” I ask, wanting to be sure.

Senzo nods earnestly, “I don’t want to lose you. Please give me a chance to fix things.”

Without thinking, I throw myself into his arms, tears of happiness and relief streaming down my face. This is exactly what I’ve always wanted. “Okay,” I say, my voice filled with emotion.

“Let’s go find a house that will truly be ours,” Senzo suggests, and I can see the sincerity in his eyes.

I look at Caroline, feeling guilty for leaving her behind, but she’s smiling, showing her support for me as I get into the car with Senzo.

As we search for a new home, I feel like I’m in a dream. It’s surreal to think that everything has taken such a positive turn. We visit many houses, but when I step into one with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an office, a lounge, a dining area, a spacious kitchen, and a lovely garden, I know it’s the one.

“This is it,” I say softly, running my fingers along the kitchen island. It feels like a fresh start, a place where Senzo and I can build a life together with open communication and mutual understanding. The house symbolises hope, love, and the promise of a brighter future, and I can’t wait to call it our own.
