Keneilwe’s side

My heart sinks when I hear Zanele ask her which one of her girls was calling. She’s a cheater, I should’ve known.

She walks in between us, her hand slipped on Zanele’s shoulder.

“Who was it?” Zanele asks her again.

She shrugs, “Promise.”

I have a feeling she doesn’t want to talk about her girlfriends.

“So, have you introduced Promise to Thando and Matshepho?” Zanele asks her.

“I’m planning to. Promise is too entitled to me, she doesn’t want to meet them. She wants to wrap herself around the idea that she’s the only girlfriend.” She replies.

“Why can’t you date one girl?” Zanele laughs.

“If I date one girl. What about abanye abantwana?[other kids]” She jokes.

Zanele laughs too, loudly.

“You’re crazy. I wonder how your girls agree to this nonsense.” Zanele sighs.

“I wouldn’t.” I interject.

This gets Zekhethelo to look at me. Her bedroom eyes are scanning my face, as if asking herself whether I’m the one who said that.

“Why?” She asks, licking her lips.

This gesture gets her lips wet and even more pink. I could just reach over and suck her bottom lip.

“I’m a one woman girl. I prefer that from my partner too. I should be able to have access to you anytime.” I reply.

“You will get access anytime.” She says.

“What if I come over, and find you with your other girl? What then?” I ask

“You both would know each other. No problem. We’d just chill.” She shrugs.

“What if I came for some sexy time?”

“Then you’d get it.”

“How? With her there?” I challenge her.

She smirks, “I’m very capable of pleasing two women at the same time.” She replies.

Mxm! She’s arrogant.

“I don’t like threesomes.” I tell her.

“Then the other one would leave. You’d get what you came for.” She smiles and slips both her hands in her pockets.
