The day of the birthday party has finally arrived, Jonathan took Thando for a walk to allow his crew to prepare for the party. Jonathan’s phone rings and he picks up.
Jonathan: ok we’ll be there soon…(hangs up)
Thando: what happened? (Taken aback)
Jonathan: we have to go back, mom suddenly fell ill so we have to check on her…
Thando: ok…(hmm, this woman just loves to create problem, let’s see…)
Jonathan and Thando finally reach the house and it is all dark, nothing can be seen…
Thando:(holds onto Jonathan’s arm.) what’s going on?
Everyone: surprise!!! (Lights switched on, Thando looks at Jonathan shocked and moved to tears)
Jonathan: happy birthday…
Thando: thank you 😊
(Everyone sings for Thando as they rejoice and have fun, as the clock hits 12, Jonathan steps forward and holds Thando’s hands and everyone keeps quiet and pays attention as Thando and Jonathan are in the spotlight.)
Jonathan: I waited for this day eagerly, looking forward to it so that I can let it all out. Thando, I love you and I would love for you to stay by my side and be my better half (kneels down and pulls out a little box from his pocket) will you marry me?
(Everyone dumb struck, and starts shouting marry him)
Thando: I would love to be your better half, and I would love to marry you too…( Everyone cheers as Jonathan puts the ring on Thando’s finger)
A few weeks later Thando is in her room excited about her wedding that is in a month. Jonathan’s mother suddenly comes into the room and closes the door.
Mrs Nkosi: how long did you think you could keep this a secret?
Thando: What are you talking about mother?
Mrs Nkosi: who told you that you could call me mom? I don’t want a filthy and treacherous woman like you as my daughter in-law, so tell me… How much do you want?
Thando: I don’t think I understand what you’re talking… (Acting dumb)
Mrs Nkosi: well I didn’t expect you to admit it easily either, you wouldn’t be con artist if you couldn’t keep your act up. What do you have to say about this? (hands out documents.)
Thando: Oh, so you’re onto me? (says with a smuggish face) Well took you long enough… it’s a pity, I don’t want a small piece of the fish. I want the entire ocean (smirk)
Mrs Nkosi: looks like I over estimated you, can’t you see the evidence in front of you, I don’t think my son would want a woman like you… So you better take this money and leave with something than leave with nothing at all. I’m giving you a chance, take it or leave it.
Thando: (panicks) you can’t tell Jonathan anything (grabs Mrs Nkosi by her arms) you can’t tell him anything! (Pushes her and she trips on the carpet and hits her head on the corner of the drawer.) You can’t tell him anything… (Going crazy and holding her head. She squats down and realize that Mrs Nkosi passed out.) you made me do this so please don’t blame me, I’m sorry mother (grins).
Thando drags Mrs Nkosi after checking if everyone is out of sight, she then calls David so he can help her deal with her. David meets his sister at the warehouse and decide to finish her off and throw her body near a barbershop. They do as planned and wipe out every piece of evidence and forget that Mrs Nkosi had an accoplice that helped her get the evidence.
