“I had trusted Sandile so much,I can’t believe he did this to me.That was my only hope.” Otlile says.

“You are right,where are you going to get another phone?We should let this Olerato issue go.” Maria says.

“Then what will happen to Olerato go,we must not desert her like that.How will we seem?” Otlile says.

“We’re not deserting her.We’re just following her father’s instructions.” Maria says.

“What instructions?” Otlile asks confused.

“Her father called me.He told me that we must not involve ourselves in Olerato’s kidnapping.He said he has everything under control.So we must just leave it alone.” Maria says.

“If you say so.” Otlile says defeated.

“So Oratile,you are not entering the contest?” Mercy asks him.

“I was thinking of entering but thought otherwise. I mean this is a girl’s thing.” Oratile says.

“Aargh,you and your stereotypes.Anyways Tshidi,mean and you are going shopping after-school.” Mercy announces.

“Shopping?For what?” Tshidi says suprised.

“Hello,did you forget that you have a contest coming up?We’ve got to find something for you.” Mercy says.

“Ok,I didn’t think it was a big deal.” Tshidi says.

“That’s the thing with you kids of nowadays.You don’t take anything seriously.” Mercy says.

“Hey.” Otlile greets her.

“I wanted us to talk about yesterday.I was angry and didn’t think.” Otlile says.

“Is that your excuse?Otlile you embarrassed me in front of the whole school.The whole school!!As we speak I’m the topic in this school.Everyone is talking about me.Why didn’t we talk like matured people?You even blamed me,am I the reason my brother is like this?Did I know Sandile would do this?I can’t date someone who doesn’t respect me.Someone who can’t communicate with me well and someone who lets anger take control.Fortunately for me and unfortunately for you,our relationship is over.Over with capital letters.” Tshego says then leaves Otlile shocked.

“What do you want Neli?” Tshidi asks her.

“Ooh,so now you can speak for yourself.I want you to pull out from the contest.” Neli says.

“You were once my friend so I think you know me very well.Its either you pull out or face the consequences.Choose.”
