“Mom,who is my father?” Otlile asks Lucy.

He was in bed.

“Its complicated.” Lucy replies.

“Oh,so me being sick is not complicated,right?” Otlile says.

“No,I have to speak to him first.” Lucy says.

“At least you know him,by the way you were acting,I thought maybe it was a one night stand.” Otlile says.

“Otlile,I’m still your mother!You can’t talk to me like that.” Lucy reprimands him.

“I just wish you were not my mother.” Otlile says lowly and goes back to sleep.

Otlile was walking to school alone.He heard Neli calling and running to him then he stopped.

“Hey handsome, just kidding.Whats up?” Neli greets him.

“Look Neli,I don’t wanna be giving you any ideas.” Oratile says.

“What ideas?” Neli asks.

“Tshidi told me all about you and your stunts.” Oratile says.

“But I told I no longer do that.” Neli says.

“Look,we can’t date.You’re too young and I can’t date my sister’s rival.” Oratile says.

“You think I want us to date? Unbelievable!! I’m just a girl correcting her wrongs and looking for where I can fix and to probably find a male bestie and you think I want to date you.Wow,what a way to go, Oratile!” Neli leaves him all alone.

Ma’am Mokoena called Tshidi to her office.

“Greetings Ma’am, I hope I’m not in any kind of trouble.” Tshidi says as she sits down.

“No,not at all.Actually you were right,Neli really is Nasty.” Ma’am Mokoena announces.

“How did you find out?” Tshidi asks.

“The most shocking thing happened.Neli actually came here and confessed everything.She is now facing toilets cleaning and detention punishment as we speak.Her parents were also called for a meeting.Honestly speaking I never thought Nelisiwe would do that.” Ma’am Mokoena says.

“Ok,thank you for telling me.I’ve been meaning to ask you this, when is Miss Limpopo Teen starting?” Tshidi asks.

“When school reopens for term two.”

“Ok,thanks Ma’am.”

Lucy called Lucas to a meeting at the park.

“Hey Lucy,how is it going?” Lucas says when she arrives.

“Not very well,the traditional healer said an ancestral ceremony has to be done to introduce Otlile to his father’s ancestors and now he demands to know his father.” Lucy says.

“You do know you’ll have to tell him right?Unless you also don’t know the father.” Lucas says.

“Of course I do know him,but that’s the problem.” Lucy says.

“How is it a problem?”

“Because you are the father,Lucas.”
