Sunny went quiet for a while, which scared me. She wasn’t acting like her usual self, she was super weird. Something was wrong and I could feel it. I had this weird feeling in my stomach, that I couldn’t explain. Could the cult have gotten to her? She turns around, and stares at the trail that I have to use to make my escape.

“So are we leaving, or do you need to do something?”

Sunny just sighs, then snaps her fingers. She turns around and faces me one more time. Not saying anything, she just stared deep into my eyes for a few more seconds. Men came out from all sides of the forest, and they stood behind her. One of them came up from behind her, with what looked like a cloak. This cloak was a different colour, and it looked different from the rest.

This was the members of the cult, as they had the exact same cloak that the ones had on inside. What the hell? This was all so weird to me, and I wasn’t prepared to get caught again.

“Don’t you know, that there’s no escape Alice? I really thought that you learned your lesson from the last ‘escape’.”

She told me as this person helped her put on a cloak. This cloak looked like something a very important person would wear. It didn’t sink in yet, but later it did. She then put the cap over her head, which then covered her face.

“I’ve been waiting for your arrival Alice.”

“What do you mean you’ve been waiting for me?”

I asked her with a shaky breath. My hands started shaking was I kept looking back and forth between Sunny and the rest of the cult.

“Take her.”

“No, no! What are you doing?! Sunny!”

“Make sure that she doesn’t escape.”

“Yes my leader.”

“Sunny! Sunny please…..stop. Just stop, what are you doing?”

That’s when everything clicked, Sunny was the leader. The one person that I trusted, turned out to be the bad guy. Now what about my mom? Who will save me now? Obviously because she caught me, the security here will be super tight to make sure that I don’t get caught again. Despite all of this happening, I don’t have a choice but to try and escape again.

What freaks me out the most, is the fact that she was waiting and waiting for me to get to the exit. She knew that I wouldn’t have been able to escape during the day, so she figured out that I’d go at night.

So it all makes sense now, she’s the leader, so she must have been the one who has been waiting for me in the ritual room. Sunny knew that deep down I wouldn’t have gone far, so they just stood at the exit waiting for me. Maybe I should have just risked my life, and ran in the broad daylight.

If I choose that option, then I would have made it. I had one shot, one shot and I messed up. I must say she is pretty smart, I’ll give her that. I still couldn’t believe that my dad worked for her.

Questions kept replaying in my head. Was that even her real parents? Or did she kill them too? What happened with my mom? And is she okay? Why didn’t I notice this before?

We entered the building, then we walked down a long hallway. At the end of the hallway, we entered an elevator, and the person pressed number 16. So they are basically taking me to the very last floor, where I started off a few days ago.

When the doors of the elevator opened, we walked past the familiar cells. When we got to the very last one, I heard the jiggling of keys. Someone came from the back, to the front and opened up the cell. Pushing me inside, they immediately closed the gate and locked it.

At this point I just felt like giving up on all hope, but at the the same time I wanted to stay strong. I didn’t want to die, but I also didn’t want to live if I have to suffer like this. There was no use trying to escape again, cause all they will do is just catch me all over again. I didn’t know what to do, so I guess that I’ll just have to stay strong and stick it out in this cell.
