SETTING: Buchanan’s residence and on the road to town from Mount pleasant.

(They reach Buchanan’s gate and Nancy slides it. Kondi is amazed with the backyard’s view, the modern mansion and the spectacular landscaped ground make the surroundings look so unreal. Gerald drops off Kondi, makes sure Nancy has the cooler box and he starts off back to the taxi rank.)

GERALD: (Driving while talking on the phone) Hola mad hatter, it worked, I’ve evaded Tchete and his guys on the road. The snow is dropped and Nancy is handling it.

ZINZI: And the boy?

GERALD: He’s still there but he’ll probably leave by lunch.

ZINZI: Sh**t what!? Don’t be stupid Gerald, you said you’ll pose as a buyer of his fish and make sure he leaves with his f**ng cooler box immediately!

GERALD: Man, I’m broke. Listen… Buchanan’s daughter is crushing on the boy, so I convinced her to buy all his fish if she wants to see him more-

ZINZI: Why are you making this sh**t more complicated!? Don’t you ever use Buchanan’s daughter as a con, you want Buchanan and Richard to crash!?

GERALD: Nooo man, but with Tchete and his guys stepping up their efforts to cut our chain, how do you think yourself, me and Nancy should process the snow to Richard, huh?

ZINZI: Still, I’m not convinced using the boy as a f**ng con!

GERALD: Relax chief, I’m also using the boy to grab Norah’s attention so Nancy can pull out the snow from the fish undisturbed-

ZINZI: You mother**, you remember Richard helped Buchanan to secure a government contract to USA on fuel survey. What did Buchanan do in return!?

GERALD: He gave loads of money to Richard and added Norah as a bonus because Richard is wifeless.

ZINZI: Ahaa! You understand, If the boy gets too much involved with her it’ll be dangerous when Richard finds out! Don’t be bush**t.

GERALD: I know, the boy will leave before Richard steps in. Everything will go according to plan, chill man.

ZINZI: (Sighs) Alright, should I call Richard then?

GERALD: Yes, let him know that the snow is ready. By the way, how much weight is it?

ZINZI: Four hundred grams in fifteen fish stomachs.

GERALD: Okay chief. (Arrives at taxi rank)

Meanwhile at Buchanan’s residence…

(Nancy admires Kondi’s looks as she asks him to wait for Norah on the couch in the lounge. Kondi feels glorified as he looks around the luxurious lounge. He sees Norah in her red mosaic dress coming down the stairs and she looks much more appealing in it.)

NORAH: Hey, I brought your cash. (Hands out thirty two thousand cash to Kondi)

KONDI: (Stunned by her looks) Thank- thank… you… thank you for buying my today’s business. (Jams the cash into his cash bag)

NORAH: (Sitting) You’re most welcome… You’ve got an amazing business.

KONDI: Thanks, but it’s my aunt’s.

NORAH: Oh, that’s fine… I’m Norah, Nice to meet you- what’s your name?

KONDI: My name is Kondi, nice to meet you too. I saw you earlier in the taxi.

NORAH: Yeah me too, when I first saw you, I felt like I knew you.

KONDI: Really? Now it’s good that we know each other.

NORAH: Yeah. (Starts feeling nervous because Kondi cannot stop staring at her)

(Silence…Kondi looks up over the walls, he sees a portrait of Norah with her father. Her father looks more intimidating to him and he feels he should get going before he arrives.)

KONDI: Norah, I think I should be going, will talk later.

NORAH: Hmm, I thought we’re having a nice chat.

KONDI: Yeah, but I feel it would be a mistake if your dad finds me here.

NORAH: Relax, he’s away on a business trip in America.

KONDI: (Relieved) Oh, that’s… great.

NORAH: (Looks at Kondi’s dried lips) Have you eaten breakfast?

KONDI: I’ll be honest with you, I did not have one.

NORAH: Come on lets eat in town.

(Norah drives with Kondi in her father’s benz to Jennings food and refreshments at the centre of the city.)
