I have been in my room for the last 2 days only getting out to go to the bathroom or to eat.

“I’m going out.” I said to my mother as I put on my hair and walked out. staying in my room didn’t make me feel any better, but a good walk always makes me be able to think more clearly. I turned a corner and found myself walking to the direction of a pond, I sat down on the grass and watched still water, while hugging my legs. I have done so much crying in the past 2 days that I can’t let myself shed anymore tears.

“Hey.” a voice pulls me out from my thoughts and when I look up, I see the guy from the clinic “I thought I recognised you, but I was not sure. The name is Mbongeni.” He said as he sat beside me. “I saw you rush out from the clinic the other day, are you okay?”

I look at Mbongeni, he has a hoarse voice that surprisingly suit him “Yeah I am fine.”

“Okay,” He says in a voice that tells me he is not believing any word that I just told him “This is a nice place. Do you come here a lot?”

I nod “When I need to think.”

“Cool.” He says as he looks around and bobs his head up and down as if he is listening to some music, “There is going be a live band back the restaurant late would you like to come with me?” I can’t help but smile “Thats a little too fast you know, you don’t even know my name, yet you are asking me out on a date.”

He smiles and his dimples instantly pop out “Fair enough, What’s your name?”

“Zandi.”

“Now can we go on a date Zandi?”

“Mhhm I don’t know, you can be a serial killer.” He laughs, after a little while he started coughing. when he regained his breathing, he said “I mean it’s a public place, I can’t kill you there.”

“Yeah, you are right.” I say with a smile still playing on my lips “What time?”

“7pm and don’t be late, I’ll see you at Downs restaurant.” He said standing up.
