“Sheila you’re gonna be late for your 1st day of work.”
Is it Monday already. Ugh. I guess I should have left that party a little earlier.
“I’m already up mom”
Today I will start my new job. As I turn over a new leaf. A much greener one in fact. My past is something I do not want to allow to define me.
“Breakfast looks amazing but I don’t wanna be late.” I say
“Of course dear. Have a wonderful day”
I catch the bus just before it leaves. On my way to the hotel. That’s surprisingly located in the middle of nowhere.

“Carter please return your sister’s doll.”
“Okay,mom” I say bitterly
I don’t understand why my parents allow my sister to play with dolls. It is another reason why she gets bullied.
She will be 13 next June and all her peers make fun of her. I don’t like it when they make my big sister sad.
I look over at my sister and she looks upset. The road looks endless.
“We are almost there sweeties” Mom says with an excited tone.
