Slindile managed to make her desk her own space with putting her dad’s picture on the tabl; her computer was up and running as she was busy with paper. Over the week that’s what she has been doing filing paperwork. It was not that interesting but she knew that her time will come.

Samuels was out on a case of human trafficking and had managed to close it in record time. She was so excited to be in the same space with Samuels during her time in college she had heard a lot about him, how he was only 38 but he has closed over 100 cases. And now she was in the same office as him, that was even more exciting.

Samuels walked after a week of being gone and looked at me. “The Lieutenant is calling you.”

She got up not knowing to what to think, what had she done she wondered, she wondered if there was a mistake with her filing but how? That was the most basic thing.

“Please sit down.” The Lieutenant said as she walked in, with her mind all over the place she failed to notice that Samuels was also here rather than sitting he was leaning on the door.

“With no time to waste, a case landed on my lap there has been a killing. An older woman was murder. This is an open and shut case which is why I’m sending you in Slindile. You’ll be partnered with Samuels, this is his case follow his direction okay?”

She nodded as she took a file from Samuels “I want you to go through it when you are on your way home, that is if you want to change your your outfit.” He said as he dismissed them without another word.
