I know that it’s hard 😭 each and everyday you keep asking yourself multiple questions. You keep asking god why is this happening to you ? Whyyy ? Is it because of the wrong things you have done in the past ?Or is it because you are not woman enough ?

No .It’s just that when you don’t have any family member who once gave birth to a preterm, you won’t even think about it .You just don’t care and you don’t want to listen to ladies who went through that. You don’t want to learn.

Firstly it doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you. It simply means “you just got to hold your baby earlier “. No one knows the reason behind women giving birth before nine months. Only god does. Secondly having a preterm baby doesn’t mean your not woman enough. It doesn’t mean you have failed to carry your baby full term. Thirdly don’t ever think your baby is not human enough. Your baby is like other babies . Just that there are some preterm babies who are perfectly healthy and there are some who have low birth weights and other complications.

Although prematurity can have some negative impacts on your baby and sometimes even on you as the mother . Preterm babies to grow , it may seem impossible but trust me when time goes bye they do catch up . They may gain weight slowly but surely they will definitely have the normal as other babies their age. Mostly preterm babies born before 35 weeks may be blind but that can be prevented .There are lot of things about preterm babies but the main point is that they are like other babies and they do grow perfectly well ,to a point that you won’t even remember the fact that they came before time.

Some Africans still believe that preterm babies are not human beings. They don’t take them as normal people. Nevermind what someone else believes .

(I also gave birth to a preterm baby on the 3 of October 2021 .I was hopeless, thinking that I will return home empty handed without my baby on my arms. I listened to people’s opinions regarding preterm babies. But here I am today with my baby who is perfectly healthy and there’s nothing wrong with him. Even today we never experienced anything hurtful.  Don’t listen to what other people have to say.
