The office romance continued for a long time and people at work were gossiping and I just didn’t care. I literally everything with him and we were just so comfortable with each other. Sometimes we played games together. Went out for a weekend, visited museums and all those interesting places. We had so much in common. Sometimes new would just watch the moon and stars in silence. Him kissing my forehead and my cheeks. He was my safe place.

I loved the things he whispered to me in my ear. They were beautiful. I loved the romanticism of hm kissing my face. Undressing me to see my scars and stretch marks and kiss my whole imperfections. He was just too good.. Everything I ever wanted . Exactly what I ordered to be precise . I loved the long drives we had together. Laughing endlessly . We danced on a lady Saturday night to some jazz music and fell asleep. He hugged and kissed !y forehead goodnight . However, there was still one more thing I wanted to hear from him: the three letter words.

Everything changed after that one afternoon when I received a call. It was from Hlozi Media. They offered me a job and the salary was decent. I was happy to hear good news and I wanted to share them with Kavya. Imsat on my chair looking at the email they just sent me after the call . Back then, I wanted to leave so badly and get away from my boss because of his behaviour towards me. I wanted to call it quit and settle for a new job somewhere far. Little did I know that I was going to fall inlove with him. At first, I hated him and now I can’t imagine my life without him in it.

I’ve decided to seek Kavya’s advice so I went to her desk. She was sitting there busy answering calls and writing some notes . She always complain about admin work and that it’s too much but I never seen her so dedicated to her job. Perhaps she wanted ma distraction or a raise. She said that it wasn’t enough to feed her and her husband and kids. He was unemployed as he lost everything to a gamble. I can’t imagine the stress she went through. She always smiled greeting our clients and answering calls with so much enthusiasm.

” Hey. What are you doing here? ” She giggled.

” I came here to check on my friend. That all.” I laughed.

” We both know that that isn’t true. Now out with it” she knew me very well. When I’m in trouble I walk slowly towards her desk and my heels doesn’t make muh of her name. When I have something exciting to share you could hear my walk from afar with my modelling walk calling out her name laughing about. This time I bought her some Jumbo pancakes. I knew she loved them so she wouldn’t complain about anything. If you want a small favour from her without her making things difficult or her being a moody girlfriend. Better get her something mouth watering to eat. Nonetheless, she was just a sucker for good food. She would literally die for them.

First I cleared my throat. She knew something was up already. I didn’t know how to spill the beans to her. Tell her that I’m going to leave the city and that we won’t be seeing each other for a long time. That was going to break her heart. She was the only person I knew and got along with since I joined the company. Said was friendly and approachable. I loved our girly moments though she was irritating with her mood sometimes.

” Well, girl I have news for you. I got a pretty job offer at Hlozi Media. Far away from here so I’m leaving. “

You could’ve had seen her reaction. For a moment and looked at me in disbelief and she didn’t say anything.

” Seems like you have made up your mind. I can’t stop you. I’m happy for you,trust me. I’m going to miss you so much. You were the only girlfriend I had. What about , Kevin? Have you told hjm yet? ” I nodded.

” I don’t know how to tell him or how is he going to take it. What must I do?”

” I suggest that you tell him at the earliest” I looked at her with a disagreeing look. I knew that she was right but I just couldn’t risk it.

” I suppose. He would had done the same if he was in my place. He would had left for better opportunities. However, I will miss him. I can’t ask him to go with me and abandon everything he have work hard for. Everything of his is here. So I guess….”

Kavya embraced me and wished me good luck . I needed it.
