Bongani’s roommate walked in holding a white envelope, he handed it to him. Explained that a delivery guy handed it to him and he signed for it.

Bongani opened the envelope eager to know what was inside, he found a handwritten letter. Nondwe Mkhuma wrote to him, she explained everything to him, told him all the traumatic things she went through in Zenzo household. Bongani couldn’t help but cry his heart out for his friend, Nondwe mentioned that she was leaving the country to join military in foreign countries in the letter. Bongani was relieved to know she was still alive.

It’s in the wee hours of the morning Bongani is preparing for his graduation ceremony, Nondwe promised to attend it. Bongani has been very occupied to follow up on that.

Students are being called to collect their degrees, Bongani is seated busy checking the door hoping to see Nondwe getting in. He is disturbed by a phone call, the man with a bold voice over the phone tells Bongani that Nondwe Mkhuma was shot dead in a civil war.

After hanging up, Bongani Sapho’s name is called out.

He walks up to the stage and receive his degree, when he’s suppose to say a speech he thinks of Nondwe from primary school til now and he only manages to say “Nondwe Sithandwa sam, ndiyabulela”.
