Everyone waited for the enemies in the Xhosa kingdom. That afternoon the rain kept dropping massively. Many of the Xhosa warriors looked nervous. Going up against creatures it wasn’t something familiar.

They were unhappy about the girl taking a lead on them. They had grown to follow their general, Mlibo who had been the toughest and great warrior amongst them.

Nontetha stood at the front. She hadn’t had time to speak to her brother about her situation. She had planned to leave after finalizing the preparation of the defense, but her heart couldn’t abandoned her village. She decided to stay and fight. She was relieved that his brother was safe with the queen during this coming war.

The undead were coming in numbers for the village. She wasn’t nervous as she had fought them before, even if now they were in great numbers. Something painful sudden struck inside her.

She dropped her daggers on the ground as her eyes widened. She went down to her knee and then she shrieked. Warriors behind her couldn’t understand what’s was happening with her. She continued to shriek. She held her head. Screamed and cried at the pain.

Soon later, her eyes turned bloody red. Bloodshot. Giant fire emerged all over her. She was in transformation. Within a few seconds, the warriors couldn’t not believe what they witnessed.

A red-hued woman without horns and beard. Massive and skinless angelic wings on her back. She had resemblance of Nontetha, but she was something else inside her.

By the time the undead parasites were close, the satanic figure inhaled and blowed a massive giant from her mouth. Unbelievably, the fire burnt every last of the undead parasites within seconds. The heavy rain without coming to their rescue.

The warriors widened their mouths in shock. How easy and simple it was for the satanic figure to destroy thousands of the undead army in seconds.

Andries De Wet stepped out of the wagon  circa in disbelief.

“Impossible” he said.

“It seems like Lucifer’s bride had been born” said commander Dawie. “lucifeness.”

“For the first time in centuries” said De Wet.

He glanced towards Dawie and commanded her to release the masterclass of the undead.

While the Xhosa warriors stood there in shock,  they heard the raspy growls and hungry groans again. When they glanced over, it was another thousands of the undead, but they seemed different than the last ones. They were fast and muscular.

All eyes turned to the satanic figure. It flew up high and once again inhaled and released the powerful fire to burn the undead. Unfortunately these ones weren’t ordinary. They were still running and coming for the attack in flames.

The war finally began. The warriors versus the burning masterclass of the undead.

These undead were skillful. It was easy to despatch many of the warriors. Some ended up dying by the flames and some kept pushing and fighting to kill. The warriors had no chance, they were dying horribly. The only chance they had to kill was when the flames had damaged to weaken the enemy.

Lucifeness flew down, rolled rapidly, slicing most of the undead in half with her sharp wings. She flew up again and came down again, killing the masterclass with her wings.

When she flew up again, Misuzulu and the others finally came unexpectedly to set upon the burning masterclass.

Misuzulu despatched the undead with his spear along side with Zibhebhe. Mkabayi also fought, easily despatching the undead. Nokwethemba stood far from the battle zone, she activated her Impi eyes, burning further the undead, most dropping down, burning to death.

Lucifeness turned at the far side and spotted the worst enemy. She flew away rapidly, and Mkabayi secretly followed her behind.

Lucifeness landed right in front of Andries and his Commander. The two masterclass undead that were guards set upon her but all it took was a grip with both of her hands to their necks and twisted them rapidly.

Commander was in disbelief of how powerful the devil was. The objectification of a hostile and destructive force indeed they say.

“Andries De Wet, ” said Lucifeness. The voice of  Nontetha and the devil was combined. “This human’s memory tells me a lot about you. All these humans are afraid of you. That’s means you should be worthy as an opponent. You know if you do able to kill me you might become one of the powerful villains in the multiverse. Don’t be pathetic by wanting a stupid weapon to become powerful like us.”

Andries De Wet frowned resentful and draw out his sword.

“That’s more like it” said Lucifeness. “Now let’s see what you’ve got.”

De Wet set upon to the devil, struck his sword but he wasn’t successful. It was like a little boy who was making himself a warrior by faking to despatch an enemy. The devil was dodging easily his attacks.

Andries went for the heart, a tip of the devil’s fingers stopped the blade, and crushed it instantly as if it was a piece of firewood.

“Pathetic” she said.

Lucifeness then struck her claws on the De Wet’s rotten face. A hard foot followed, shoving him to smash ubrutly on the ground.  His barboel growled and ran to set upon Lucifeness, but she bent down and released one of her wings, slicing the dog in half.

Commander Dawie was amazed again of Lucifeness’ strength and power. When she took a look at the war zone, the undead were losing, all getting slayed. She realised this was probably the end of the undead as her master is no match for the devil.

She slowly tiptoed back. As she was slowly changing into a human again, it was best if she saved her life and run away.

As she ran, she stopped when someone was standing like had been waiting for her.

Mkabayi.

“Going somewhere?” said Mkabayi.

“Well, if it isn’t De Wet’s prisoner. You had a lot of nerve escaping from him. Especially by hiding those eyes” said Dawie.

“I’m not here to chit chat Dawie, ” said Mkabayi. “As you can see for yourself this is the end of the road for the undead. I’m not going to take chances by letting one to escape so could create another army.

I will make this quick like I did with general Dirkie.”

“You just going kill me with those eyes instead of pulling up a fight?” Said Dawie as she drew out her sword.

“You don’t really think you can take me on do you? I was trained by your master. I’ve killed two of his generals which you were no match for either” said Mkabayi.

“Why don’t we find out what I’m capable of then”

Mkabayi wasn’t going to waste her time fighting Dawie. In fact, Dawie was one of the good like Dirkie. She had always brought her human food in her cell room and not bothered her like Piet had did annoyingly.

Ending her quick would be an honor of professionalism. Her light brown eyes began to glow.

“Wait” Commander Dawie suddenly dropped her sword seemingly terrified. She removed the piece of clothing that wrapped on her right hand.

“I’m changing. I have a reason to live. No reason to create an army of the undead. I’m becoming a human again.”

Mkabayi’s eyes stopped glowing, surprised of what she saw.

“How’s that possible?” She asked.

“I was bitten by one of the Sirens in the ocean before coming here. We were in war with them and Andries lost half of his army.  He got himself bitten too but nothing happened to him or probably he might be hiding it too” said Commander Dawie.

“Where would you go since all the Boers no longer exist” said Mkabayi.

“I don’t know, but I will find my way to anything. Go places. Find myself again. And maybe one day I will rebuild” she said.

“Go” said Mkabayi, her eyes closed as she spared her life, hoping she wasn’t making a huge mistake to let her live.

Commander Dawie gazed her thankfully and she strided away.

Andries De Wet went furiously to see his dog being slayed. On his right cheek was left with a mark of the devil’s claw. He got himself up and activated the Impi eye on his right, but it quickly shut down and the pain struck massively.

He groaned and blocked it with his hand.

“That eye won’t work on me, Andries” said Lucifeness as she glared at him.

“Useless eye” Andries murmured.

He pulled out his double-barrelled shotgun and fired at the devil. Shot after a shot, but the projectiles were useless. The devil’s body was like a rock. The bullets bouncing off her.

Andries charged towards her and struck his own claws. They were dodged and blocked simply by her hands. His time of death had finally came, when Lucifeness struck her claws under his chin.

It was a murderous uppercut that ripped off his head.

Andries De Wet’s head rolled next to Misuzulu’s legs who had been standing for a few minutes. He was satisfied and yet became upset when he saw his father’s eye on Andries.

“I should thank you for killing this creature who destroyed my home and my people and family” he said as he yanked out the brown eye.

Mkabayi showed up on the scene glaring at the devil who had turned back and gazed at the Zulus.

“If isn’t the last Zulus remaining” said Lucifeness. “This human’s memory had grown fond of you. Especially you.”

She looked at Misuzulu.

“The girl had developed deep love feelings for you. It’s a shame she will never get to be you” She added.

Mkabayi frowned resentfully at the statement. She was correct when she thought Nontetha might actually replace her in Misuzulu’s heart. A part of her was happy she didn’t have to kill her anymore.

“Nontetha I know you there,” said Misuzulu. “If you can hear me you need to be strong and fight this devil that has taken over your body.”

Lucifeness burst out an evil laughter.

“Stupid human, “she said. ” Your friend’s consciousness is dead. No longer exist. Lucifeness has been born now. Born to rule this world. Soon you all going to bow to me as your queen.”

Lucifeness then released her wings and flew up.

“We shall meet again soon humans” she said and flew away, disappearing on the coppery clouds.

Soon the heavy rain came to rest and the war finally came to end.

“I’m sorry about your friend” said Mkabayi.

Misuzulu smiled and said, “I’m glad I still have you.”

They shared an embrace. It was warm and comfortable, and made Mkabayi’s heart jumped excitedly.

He was also the only boy she ever loved after all.
